Friday, 24 August 2012 16:29
Filipa Ribeiro da Cruz is a young writer who is going to publish her first romance – 'Onde param os Anjos' ('Where are the angels' - Chiado Editora) - in September this year. The plot is related to the issue of human trafficking, the existence of global criminal networks that make many prisoners without rights or any kind of freedom.

Oikos supports the launch of this book and will attend the presentation event on Saturday, September 1st, 4:30 p.m., at Les Enfants Terribles – Cinema King's bar and book shop.

The support to this initiative was motivated by the fact that Oikos develops a project in Portugal related to the topic of human trafficking. (En)forced and (Un)equal – Against Human Trafficking and Labour Exploitation is a project from Oikos to inform and raise awareness of civil society in Portugal about situations of violation of basic human rights associated to the phenomena of human trafficking, discrimination and labour exploitation related to gender vulnerability.
